Sports have always been an integral part of holistic education at MUKONO DIOCESE SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY SCIENCES (MUDISONAMS). From 15th to 16th May 2026, our institution proudly participated in the highly competitive Regional Sports Tournament hosted by Lugazi School of Nursing. The event brought together various institutions to celebrate talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship across multiple disciplines, including football, netball, and volleyball.
Our student-athletes represented MUDISONAMS with remarkable dedication, discipline, and school pride throughout the tournament. Their performance across the different sporting disciplines was nothing short of inspiring, and we are incredibly proud of their achievements.
Football
Our football team displayed commendable determination throughout the tournament. Competing in three intense group-stage matches, the team demonstrated resilience and teamwork, securing one victory. While they did not progress beyond the group stage, their fighting spirit and commitment to representing the institution with pride was evident in every game.
Netball
Ladies Netball Team – Our ladies’ netball team delivered an impressive performance, winning two matches and losing one in the group stages. Their hard work and skill earned them a spot in the semi-finals. Although they were unfortunately eliminated at that stage, the team showcased great potential and teamwork throughout the tournament.
Men’s Netball Team – The men’s netball team was outstanding, delivering strong performances that carried them all the way to the finals. Their discipline, coordination, and team spirit were exemplary. Despite a tough final match, they emerged as runners-up, a remarkable achievement that highlights their growing strength in the sport.
Volleyball
Men’s Volleyball Team – Our men’s volleyball team delivered an exceptional performance throughout the tournament. Winning three matches and losing only one in the group stages, they secured a well-deserved spot in the finals. Though they fell short of the top prize, they finished as runners-up, proving they are a force to be reckoned with.
Ladies’ Volleyball Team – The ladies’ volleyball team was equally impressive, winning both of their group-stage matches with confidence and skill. Their determination carried them to the finals, where they fought valiantly but ultimately finished as runners-up. Their performance was a testament to their hard work and growing prowess in the sport.
