MUDISONAMS Joins Diocesean Tree Planting Campaign to Promote Environmental Stewardship
At MUDISONAMS, we believe that healthcare extends beyond the walls of hospitals and clinics. True wellness encompasses the environment in which we live, learn, and serve. It is with this understanding that we proudly participated in the Diocesan Tree Planting Campaign, a collaborative initiative to promote environmental conservation and climate awareness across Mukono Diocese.
The campaign brought together a diverse coalition of partners, including the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) Uganda, Mukono Diocese, Mpoma Girls Secondary School, Kisowera Secondary School, Johnson Nkozi Memorial Primary School, and Mpoma Satellite School. Together, we planted trees and distributed seedlings to schools and communities, while also raising awareness about the critical role of trees in sustaining life and combating climate change.
The event was more than a planting exercise it was a powerful demonstration of community unity and shared responsibility. Students, educators, religious leaders, and local authorities came together with a common purpose: to safeguard the environment for future generations. Our students from MUDISONAMS actively participated in the planting activities, engaging with pupils and fellow students from partner schools to demonstrate that environmental care is everyone’s duty.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to NARO Uganda for providing technical guidance and quality tree seedlings, and to Mukono Diocese for championing this vital initiative. We also commend the participating schools for their enthusiasm and commitment to creating a greener, healthier Uganda.
As a faith-based institution rooted in the mission of Christ, we are called to care for all of creation. This campaign aligns with our values of service, stewardship, and community well-being. We hope that the trees planted today will grow to provide shade, clean air, and fruit, just as we hope our students will grow to bring healing and hope to the communities they will serve.
Together, we are not only planting trees but also planting hope for a sustainable future.
