UPMB Research Training

Research is the bedrock of evidence-based practice, and at MUDISONAMS, we are committed to contributing to the body of knowledge that shapes the future of healthcare in Uganda. It was with great pride that our institution participated in the recently concluded Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB) Research Symposium, a premier platform for health professionals, researchers, and academic institutions to share findings, exchange ideas, and explore innovative solutions to pressing health challenges.

The symposium brought together representatives from UPMB member institutions, government agencies, and development partners, all united by a common goal: strengthening health systems through research and collaboration. MUDISONAMS was well-represented by our faculty and students, who presented research findings and engaged in meaningful discussions on topics ranging from maternal and child health to infectious disease management and health systems strengthening.

Our participation underscored our commitment to advancing healthcare through inquiry and innovation. It also provided a valuable opportunity for our students and staff to network with peers, learn from leading researchers, and identify areas for future collaboration. The exposure gained at the symposium will undoubtedly enrich our teaching and practice, as we continue to train nurses and midwives who are not only clinically competent but also research-minded and solution-oriented.

We extend our appreciation to UPMB for organizing this impactful event and for its continued support of faith-based health institutions across Uganda. We also commend our dedicated faculty and students who represented MUDISONAMS with excellence and professionalism.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to fostering a culture of research and innovation within our institution. We believe that through inquiry, we can uncover better ways to serve our communities, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to the transformation of Uganda’s health sector.

MUDISONAMS is proud to be part of this research community, and we look forward to even greater engagement in the years ahead.
